I've just finished Keri Hulme's "The Bone People" (which I thought might have made the shortlist for "The Best of the Bookers" Award -- however, it did not).
Also, when I reviewed my initial post (March 30) to The Complete Booker in which I listed the Booker Winners I had read (my list came to nine), I realized I'd neglected to add Thomas Keneally's "Schindler's Ark" to my list.
So, now I'm up to 11 winners (only 30 to go!)
On a related note, I read with interest the books that the judges selected for the shortlist for the "Best of Bookers" Prize, and this leads me to put Salmon Rushdie's "Midnight's Children" and Peter Carey's "Oscar and Lucinda" on my "must-read-this-year" list.
