At Pentecost they believed Jesus was Lord And Christ.(Acts 2:36)
Paul believe Jesus was Lord.(Acts 9:4-5)

2. At Pentecost they asked what they should do. (Acts 2:37)

Paul asked "Lord what do you want me to do"(Acts 9:6)

3. At Pentecost, the 3000 repented, and were immersed in water for the forgiveness of their sins and then they received the gift of the Holy Spirit.(Acts 2:38)

Paul went to Damascus where he was baptized in water for the forgiveness of his sins and he was filled with the Holy Spirit. Acts 22:16,Acts 9:17-18)

Paul's sins were not forgiven "on the road" to Damascus, they were forgiven in Damascus.(Acts 22:10-16)

Paul was not filled with the Holy Spirit "on the road" to Damascus. He was filled with the Holy Spirit in Damascus. (Acts 9:10-19)

Paul believed that Jesus was Lord "on the road' to Damascus, however, he was not saved from his sins on the road nor was he filled with the Holy Spirit on the road.(Acts 9:3-9)

Paul was saved in Damascus. He was not saved on the road to Damascus. He was NOT SAVED BEFORE HE WAS BAPTIZED IN WATER! You cannot be saved until your sins have been forgiven.

YOU ARE INVITED TO FOLLOW MY BLOG. http://steve-finnell.blogspot.comSteve Finnellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12863026367048527526noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1167986121420161934.post-51741559438317755372014-09-02T01:12:45.863-04:002014-09-02T01:12:45.863-04:00Terrific review, you captured a lot of my feelings...Terrific review, you captured a lot of my feelings about the book. It is lovely and interesting and I admired the craft. But while I was more and less attached to various characters none of them really captured me or lived on with me after I was done.Heloisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03792162189480854469noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1167986121420161934.post-63246841994011113442014-08-22T09:05:23.009-04:002014-08-22T09:05:23.009-04:00Good point.

I can't work out what their main criteria is for picking the winner each year. It's a complete mystery!Bronahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11110584237325026052noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1167986121420161934.post-64745586008852703522014-08-01T11:27:43.704-04:002014-08-01T11:27:43.704-04:00Wonderful review. I've seen mixed reviews and maybe going into it with lower expectations might be wise.Melissa (Avid Reader)https://www.blogger.com/profile/02119628715475021774noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1167986121420161934.post-36509780379734441772014-07-24T15:35:09.131-04:002014-07-24T15:35:09.131-04:00it was far far superior to the Luminariesit was far far superior to the LuminariesAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1167986121420161934.post-12866934368597672042014-07-21T04:10:09.207-04:002014-07-21T04:10:09.207-04:00Nice to know that someone else thinks that Harvest...Nice to know that someone else thinks that Harvest would have been the better choice as winner. It was an engrossing book and the style was delightful and not in the least boring.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
